In year 1940, Guruji Shri 108 Mangal Dasji Maharaj arrived at Kalimpong. The beauty as well as the environment of kalimpong created a profound impact in his mind. The impact was so deep that he decided to select this land for unfolding his cherished dreams. He stared reciting valuable scriptures among the people and started to lead people towards the divinity though the social service by establishing Gurukulam , Oldage home, Schools and Hospitals etc. Today these social services are being govern by the grace and Instruction of Guruji Shri 108 Mohan Priyacharya Maharaji through the legal organized body; Guruji Pranami Mission Trust, in National as well as in International field.
